Defender of mankind
Alandria is a modern American elaboration of Alexandra, which is the feminine form of Alexander. It combines the classic Greek roots 'alexein' (to defend) and 'aner' (man) with a rhythmic, contemporary suffix. While rare, it retains the strong, protective connotations of its traditional predecessor.
