Ahmaad is a variant of the Arabic name Ahmad, which is derived from the triconsonantal root H-M-D. It shares the same etymological origin as Muhammad and is interpreted as 'most commendable' or 'praiseworthy'. In Islamic tradition, it is also considered one of the names of the Prophet.
