Derived from the Greek name Aineias, it is most famously associated with the Trojan hero of Greco-Roman mythology. In the Aeneid, he is the son of Aphrodite and Anchises who travels to Italy and becomes the ancestor of the Romans. The name carries a sense of epic history and enduring strength.
