From Hadria; dark one
Adrie is a shortened form of Adriana or Adrienne, ultimately derived from the Latin name Hadrianus. It refers to someone from the town of Hadria in northern Italy, which also gave its name to the Adriatic Sea. While rare as a standalone name, it offers a modern, breezy alternative to its more formal three-syllable counterparts.
