Adri is a short form of Adriana or Adrienne, ultimately derived from the Latin name Hadrianus, meaning 'from Hadria'. Hadria was a town in northern Italy that gave its name to the Adriatic Sea. In some contexts, it is also associated with the Sanskrit word for 'rock' or 'mountain'.
