Adarian is a modern elaboration of Adrian, which originates from the Latin name Hadrianus, meaning 'from Hadria.' Hadria was a town in Northern Italy that gave its name to the Adriatic Sea. It is also sometimes associated with the Persian name Adar, meaning 'fire.'
