Earth, fire, or city in Turkey
Adana has multiple possible etymologies. It is the name of a major city in Turkey, potentially derived from the Hittite 'Adaniya'. In some African contexts, particularly within the Igbo language, it can mean 'father's daughter', while in Spanish contexts it is sometimes used as a feminine form of Adan, meaning 'earth'.
