Aarianna is an elaborated spelling of Arianna, which is the Italian form of the Greek name Ariadne. In Greek mythology, Ariadne was the daughter of King Minos who helped Theseus escape the Labyrinth. The name is derived from the Greek elements 'ari', a superlative prefix, and 'adnos', meaning holy.
