Aariana is a modern elaboration of Ariana, which has roots in the Greek name Ariadne, meaning 'most holy.' It is also associated with the Sanskrit word for 'noble' and the Welsh word for 'silver.' The double-A spelling is a contemporary American stylistic choice.
